Engr. Eddy Atumonyogo is a prominent Nigerian civil and structural engineer with extensive experience and significant leadership roles within Nigeria’s engineering professional bodies. He served as the National President of the Nigerian Institution of Structural Engineers (NIStructE) from October 2017 for a two-year term that ended in 2019.

He currently serves as the Managing Partner at African Consulting Engineering & Management Partnership Limited (ACEMP). In 2021, he was appointed by the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) to a special investigation panel that examined the 21-storey building collapse in Ikoyi, Lagos.

Engr. Atumonyogo earned a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree in Civil Engineering (Second Class Upper Division) in June 1984 from the University of Lagos. He also holds a Master of Science degree in Construction Management from the same institution.

He is a Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) and a Fellow of the Nigerian Institution of Structural Engineers (NIStructE). He has been a Registered Engineer with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) since 1990.

During his tenure as NIStructE President, he advocated for stronger synergy between professional engineers and government to support national infrastructure development. His professional work focuses on structural integrity and engineering standards, and he frequently participates in high-level committees addressing structural failures and improving engineering practices in Nigeria.
