Chimdi Maduagwu is an academician of the Nigerian Academy of Letters (MNAL) and a Professor of English at the University of Lagos, with specialized expertise in Literary and Cultural Studies. He previously served as the Director of the Confucius Institute at the University of Lagos and was also an International Visiting Professor of Cultural Studies at the Beijing Institute of Technology, People’s Republic of China.
He was an Associate Professor of English at Paul Quinn College, Dallas, Texas, from 2004 to 2008; an Adjunct Professor of English at Tarrant County College (TCC), Southeast Arlington, Texas, from 2005 to 2007; and was appointed Professor of English at TCC Arlington in 2008.
He has also had career experience in teaching, research, and course development at various times at Lagos State University, Ojo; Augustine University, Ilara-Epe, Lagos State; and Christopher University, Mowe, Ogun State. He is currently a Visiting Professor and Dean of Arts at Dennis Osadebay University, Asaba, Delta State, Nigeria.
